I have two groovy DVDs to give away today from exercise physiologist and celebrity trainer Amy Dixon. Dixon has been a topnotch fitness instructor and trainer for 15 years with some pretty big celebrities she can call her fans including Robin Wright, Jodie Foster and Kesha. She is also a master trainer for BOSU, Schwinn and GRAVITY and the Group Fitness manager for Equinox in Santa Monica and today I have two of her newest DVDs to offer as a giveaway: Breathless: Volume 2 and Give Me 10 Core Counts.
Amy’s philosophy is to act more like an upbeat workout buddy (albeit one in perfect shape!) rather than a hard-nosed drill instructor when she coaches clients and I can totally relate. Really, who needs someone screaming at them to get motivated? (Well, maybe my beloved retired U.S.M.C. boot camp trainer Harvey Walden would be allowed to yell at me. Anyhooo…)

“Breathless Body 2: The Edge” consists of four major intensity interval sets with three drills in each set, finishing with one non-stop six minute high end push to the anaerobic EDGE. Amy leads the medium level workout while her back-ups demonstrate modifications for beginners and advanced levels. The challenge is to complete each of the three drills in all four sets three times for 30 seconds at maximum intensity with a 15 second recovery in between. Moves like Squat Jacks, Broad Jumps and Russian Dance keep things fun and uncomplicated. The viewer experiences the ultimate cardio burn while achieving maximum results. Menu options allow viewers to do just one drill or the even just ‘the Finisher’ as time and ability allow. No equipment is used.
“Give Me 10 Core Cuts” comprises six different 10-minute workouts for a total core revolution. Covered are: core ball breakthrough; core ball blast; tight ‘n toned tummy; yoga six pack; AB-solutely perfect Pilates; & hard core definitions. This program is the perfect solution to finding and keeping a toned and tight waistline in only ten minutes a day. Each ten minute workout is designed to lose inches in the midsection, strengthen the back, and flatten the belly. Workouts can be done one at a time, mixed and matched, or all at once. While some of the segments use no equipment, others use a stability ball and hand weights.
