Brooklyn Fit Chick Vlog: Episode 10
"My Current Favorite Workout DVDs plus a New Book Giveaway: IT STARTS WITH FOOD"
Today's Vlog is my tenth which for some reason feels really speacial to me. (Hooray!) Sooooooo, welcome back! Very nice to see you again. Now on to my topics this week...
Since Hurricane Sandy I have not been able to teach at my main gym as it is an evacuation zone so I have been working out at home via my huge stack of DVDs. (Just know that I am VERY grateful to not only have my home in one piece plus also uninterruted power and Internet since the disaster!)
After trying out a few DVDs over the last ten days I have picked three of my current favorites and they are:
- Amy Dixon's "Give Me 10: Core Cuts" A fantastic DVD if you need to break up your workouts into ten-minute segments. Amy is a fun instructor and I enjoyed being able to do her workout between both day & evening without takig up a lot of time.
- Empower Fitness "12 Rounds of Boxing Boot Camp" Holy crap-balls! This boxing workout from Empower comes with weighted-gloves, a six-pound sand-filled toning ball plus jump rope and it stars world boxing champ Jamie "The Hurricane" Clampitt. I use it at least one per week and believe me--it will kick your butt.
- Tracey Mallet's" Fuse Dance: Cardio Melt": I am not a super-dancy kind of person and was unsure how I would feel about this workout but rest assured--it is very easy to follow, doable in bare feet and will help shape your booty (which is where I can feel it the next day!)
I talk about all three DVDs in this Vlog plus I annouce my next giveaway which will start this coming Monday, November 12th.
My next giveaway will be a copy of the book: "It Stars With Food: Discover the Whole 30 & Change Your Life in Unexpected Ways" which is written by the impossibly good-looking couple Dallas & Melissa Harwtig who are the folks behind the Whole 9 Blog.
So be sure to check out the You Tube Clip and let me know what you think.
I hope wherever you are--you will find the inspiration to take the best care of yourself as possible. Thank you so much for checking out my Blog! I so appreciate it.
