So what else is inside the June Health?
"Healthy Skin This Summer—and Beyond”
Health talks about the “new generation” of sunscreens and how they can help us keep us all safe from the sun’s harmful rays.
Speaking of which, do I have any Canadian fans out there? Last summer I got hooked on a lotion I bought in Toronto and I would pay any costs to have more sent to my humble home in Brooklyn. The brand is L’Oreal Paris and the sunscreen is called “Ombrelle Solar Expertise.” Please e-mail me if you can help!
“A Faster Metabolism at Any Age”
Check it out—the secret includes eating and sleeping more and working out less. Score!
“Bosom Buddies”
The folks at Under Armour Armour Bras sent me the one featured at the top left of this story and I absolutely LOVE it. Believe me when I say the right bra can help you look slimmer and taller. Anyhoo, we get a whole page of ideas here to keep your chest from shaking.
"Last-Minute Beach Shape-Up"
This is a 15-minute sculpting routine from Vince Pacleb of UFC Gym in Corona, California.
"Your Knees: A User’s Manual"
Just the other day I was bragging how I never seem to have knee issues (believe me—I have plenty of other issues) and just last night I banged the hell out of my left knee on my coffee table. (Wine may have been involved.)
This really helpful guide will help you learn how to look after your knees—especially after an injury.
And now the rest of the best of this issue of Health:
- "A Thigh Toner—and More!” Lovely yoga guru Kristin McGee demonstrates the Sumo Squat to Warrior 2 to Extend Side Angle to Reverse Triangle.
- "Your Stay-Safe Guide to the Great Outdoors" Read this before you head outside. Good stuff here!
- "Stop That Splitting Headache” I will keep quiet around you if this is a big problem for you. You should also read this article as it might really help you.
- "Burgers Done Right” Recipe ideas that make my brain go “nom nom!”
- “Eating Healthy for Less” Being on a budget doesn’t mean buying unhealthy food. Good tips here to get the healthiest options for your budget.
