Miz Fit Online Skort!
The Fitness World’s Favorite Misfit Creates New Skort for the Mayan Families Charity
Hey there! Hi there! Ho there!
If any of you out there are into fitness Blogs and inspirational tidings from a tattooed-clad, self-proclaimed “misfit” who hails from Austin (and soon, the Bay Area!) then you MUST know about Carla Birnberg of the famed Miz Fit Online Blog. Carla is a bad-ass FILA spokesperson and member of the Lifetime Fitness team who created an ADORABLE skort that is covered in skulls, crossbones and all kinds of wonderful affirmations such as “POWER lift,” “Super Hero” and “Unapologetically Myself.”
I saw Carla’s design at this year Fitbloggin’ and bought mine (for $48 plus shipping) right away because wearing black capris tights every single damn day is boring. Why not make my outfit as fun as my class? I can tell you the design is cute & flattering and will definetly garner some extra attention at the gym!
This is from Carla’s release:
In a quest to find the perfect-fit apparel that easily transitions from gym to street, Carla Birnberg, creator of the daily MizFitOnline blog, searched for a personalized workout skort. When her search came up short, she decided to create what she envisioned.
A decidedly bold design featuring empowering words to live by, fun whimsical (but not cutesy) custom-designed fabric which breathes, custom cut which allows for greater movement, and black back-drop lends it an air of adult this all-in-one gets compliments wherever it shows up.
Carla explains, “We’re all about empowerment here. Muscles, strength, power, taking up space in the world and being hear. These sentiments are all found on the skirt’s pattern. We also love girly skulls as, to us, they symbolize strength and silliness which is who we are.”
A price point of $48, you can find the MizFit skort HERE. All proceeds go to the Mayan Families charity.
The skort design was a natural process born of mindset and function, the decision to give the proceeds to the Mayan Families charity, a given for the deep gratitude to the Guatamalan people for allowing her to adopt one of their own
In addition to promoting this skort and getting to ready to move in just a few shorts weeks—Carla is also giving up processed foods for the next 30 days. Go Carla! You can find her on Twitter @MizFitOnline if you want to pass along some encouragement.
That’s all for today folks. Tomorrow I will be talking about Baker's Dozen ebook from Diets in Review.com. Y’all come back now, ya hear?
