Hello!
Today I want to talk about a fabulous eCookbook from the
folks at DietsInReview.com called Baker’s Dozen. Just got it for
myself and I plan to send to my friends & family for the holidays as sort of an electronic “stocking
stuffer” as it is filled with fabulous healthy breakfast and brunch recipes.Nom nom!
Check out the press release below plus there is a link for a recipe for Apple Cinnamon Streusel Donut that looks totally drool-worthy (see below.)
Wichita, KS (October 2012) - DietsInReview.com, (DIR) one of the leading health sites and the largest diet review site on the web, has just announced the release of its first ever e-cookbook. Baker's Dozen is a collection of 13 healthier breakfast and brunch recipes that help fill the gap of both the quick-fix mid-week morning meal and the more wholesome casual weekend breakfasts.
With a focus on fresh, whole ingredients that are also accessible, Baker's Dozen offers 13 breakfast and brunch recipes that are as beautiful when prepared as they are delicious to eat.
The e-cookbook is available for download for just $1.99. Customers will receive a PDF that captures each recipe with vibrant photography and easy-to-follow instructions that they can access on an iPhone, iPad, laptop, or other digital device. As well, each recipe is accompanied by nutrition facts calculated by CalorieCount.com.
"This first-ever recipe book from DietsInReview.com captures our personal philosophy on food and cooking - that it be wholesome, fresh, decadent, and pretty," said managing editor Brandi Koskie. "We say pretty because we eat with our eyes as much as we do our mouths, and when a plate looks and feels satisfying before we've even take a bite we are more likely to take the time to actually enjoy it."
Some of the Baker's Dozen recipes are personal favorites of recipe developers Koskie and assistant editor (and food photographer) Dana Shultz, like the Sweet Potato Hashbrowns and Blood Orange Mimosas. Some pushed them outside comfort zones to create something truly unique, like Fig and Honey Breakfast Quinoa or Asparagus Prosciutto Crepes. They included exciting new takes on classic breakfast fare with the Sunny Side Up Breakfast Sandwich, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pancakes, and Mason Jar Omelets. The popularity of frozen banana ice cream inspired a fun new take on the breakfast parfait, and a creamy scoop of Chobani Greek Yogurt made for a more nutritious Carrot Cake Muffin.
To get a taste of Baker's Dozen and preview the book, DIR shared its Apple Cinnamon Streusel Doughnut recipe, which uses a whole wheat batter and Truvia atop sautéed Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, and oats to create a guiltless breakfast treat. http://www.dietsinreview.com/diet_column/10/announcing-bakers-dozen-our-first-ecookbook-with-13-healthier-breakfast-and-brunch-recipes/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=PR_Email
- DIR will give a DietsInReview.com measuring cup to the first 100 readers who download Baker's Dozen. Those 100 readers will also be eligible to win a kitchen tools prize pack valued at $100, including a Yonanas ice cream maker, a set of cutting boards, pretty muffin papers, and a doughnut pan.
