What Did We Learn This Month?
Women’s Health: March 2013
Women’s Health Cover Star for March 2013:
Jessica Alba graces the cover and talks about her new book in the March issue. Yes—Jessica is now an author! The insanely beautiful actress has written her first book, The Honest Life: Living Naturally and True to You filled with her advice on beauty, fashion, food and living the “natural life.”
Jessica is big on being kind to the environment. Her business, The Honest Company, sells eco-friendly home items and she is big on organic beauty products.
Here is a photo of the lovely Jessica and some of her favorite beauty/make-up tips.
So what else is in the March issue of Women’s Health?
“Women’s Health Fitness Awards”

If your back could use some extra attention—try these moves from trainer Mark Merchant, co-founder of As One studio in New York City.
“Fire Up Fat Burning”
I love these workout pages! Frank Salzone, group fitness instructor for Equinox in New York, shows how you can maximize your workouts and rev your metabolism into high gear. (Plan on using some of these in my boot camp class soon…)
“Eat This, Cure That”
All-natural remedies to help all kids of annoying ailments from insomnia to heartburn.
And now the rest of the best of this issue of Women’s Health:
• “Balancing Act” Women's Health beauty editors talk about PH balance and skin type to show how it can affect your appearance.
• "The Secret to Staying Motivated" The five “instant rewards” of exercise to keep up the desire to workout when the benefits seem so far away.
• "Should You Play Doctor?” A look at “at-home medical tests” and when you should (or shouldn’t) rely on them.
• "Lighten Up!" How stress can affect your efforts to lose weight and get fit. Don’t stress yourself out people—give yourself a break once in a while!
